Joey Porter, Miami Dolphins linebacker, has been summoned by Las Vegas police for misdemeanor after been accused of punching Cincinnati Bengals offensive lineman Levi Jones during a blackjack game at Las Vegas Palms Casino.
This is not the first time both players are in trouble. In 2004, Jones was arrested for trying to take away a baton from a police officer during a bar fight. Porter, on the other hand, was part of a fight with Cleveland Browns running back William Green, when he played for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
"They were playing blackjack and had some type of verbal altercation," Martin Wright, spokesman for the Las Vegas Police Department, explained. Apparently, six people that were with Porter jumped on Jones and one of them hit him on the back of the head before the linebacker punched him in the face.
Porter may face up to a year in jail plus a fine and a suspension.
