A poll carried out by TripAdvisor in United Kingdom revealed interesting information about British gaming preferences. With regards to casino destinations, Las Vegas turned out to be the favorite gambling hotspot. 53% of the voters claimed in favor of this location, situated amid the desert of Nevada. Reno, located on Lake Tahoe, northern Nevada, was second, but with just 4% of the vote. In the third place came Monte Carlo, obtaining 3.3% of the vote, and Atlantic City in New Jersey ended up fourth with only 3%.
Gamewise, the most popular choice for playing in a casino were slots, which got 36% of respondents in favor. Contrary to what seemed obvious, poker, the fastest popularity-growing game, occupied a modest fourth position. Before it were blackjack, in the second place, and roulette in third. 19% of the people asked favoured blackjack.
Nonetheless, the research showed that tourists on holiday not necessarily prefer a casino destination because of its gambling facilities. Many of them added that they feel attracted towards these locations mostly due to their energy and activity, considering these elements their favorite feature of the city itself. Half of the survey respondents said they regard casino locations as a year-round attraction.
