The second edition of the “Portuguese Open” will take place in May 16-20th, 2007. It will be preceded by the "Grand Prix d´Estoril," which is limited to 32 teams and will have over 12.000 € added money.

The tournament will count towards the European Backgammon Tour (EBGT), where the “European Master 2007” is defined. The event is presented by the World Backgammon Association, Estoril Tourism Board and Casino Estoril, the largest casino in Europe.

The eldest casino in Portugal, Estoril is located in the city of the same name, right next to the Atlantic Ocean and half an hour from the International Airport of Lisbon, Portugal.

With summer approaching, May weather allows for outdoors leisure activities like water sports, tennis or golf.
