The Burriana inhabitant was detained by the Civil Guard for committing the crime of retaining illegaly a portion of money from roulette winners, giving them a smaller amount of money than they had actualy won, and keeping the difference to herself.
The young Rumanian offender of 29 years of age was deonounced yesterday by a roulette player. The player said that the prizes given out by the roulette machine of eight players, did not match the prizes given out by the arrested lady, to which he thought that she kept the difference.
The necessary invastigation was made, and after verifying the data from the optical pen in the machine’s hard disk and those from the employee, the suspitions were corroborated, as the lady had been stealing money from the players during the whole month of February of this year, and the sum of money exceeded 9,000 euros. The ex-employee is now detained and waiting to be judged.
Once more, it has ben proven that machines always speak the truth, and that people are those who can trick us. To make this and many other situations right, a system that could explore the person’s “hard disk” would have to be created and at that point find out if he or she is telling the truth... wouldn’t it be easier to teach that person to live with the truth so all of us could live in a world that’s a little less esceptic?
